Comprising Steve Lind and Thomas Di Ninno, the duo delivered their most alluring output to date with their latest LP,  2023's Mondo Tempo. Released via Vancouver's Mood Hut label and landing on numerous best of lists, this fifth album is a tasteful infusion of dancehall grooves, ambient textures, trance mantras and midi smoothness - a heady cocktail that seamlessly blends elements of post-punk, psych, dub, ambient, house, and techno. Once again, the Freaks have reaffirmed their reputation as one of the most unpredictable and exciting acts around.

TENTS
After their debut release Under My Wings (2016) and the album Stars On The GPS Sky (2018), the Vienna-based band led by Clemens Posch and Paul Stöttinger released their self-produced album Limbo (Siluh Records) in 2021. The Gap wrote: “Tents provide the perfect background noise to break through the hamster wheel disguised as the 'flow of life'. And they do so in a way that, with its fusion of New Wave, nostalgia, and equally captivating yet repetitive drum beats, is above all one thing: gripping pop music. Music that does not rely on smooth surfaces, but rather allows small alienating effects, both lyrically and musically."
