Das jährlich stattfindende MEGAWORLD.XYZ FESTIVAL, ein Virtual-Reality Festival, das über YouTube übertragen wird, hat sich inzwischen zu einer hybriden Veranstaltung entwickelt, die visuelle Kunst, Musik und Performance vereint und die Online- und Offline-Community zusammenführt. Zusammen mit einleitenden Workshops im Vereinslokal bilden 2 öffentliche Abende im Flucc das diesjährige Festival.

Als ein hybrides Musik & Kunst Festival, bietet Megaworld.xyz dieses Jahr über 35 Artists* eine Präsentationsplattform. Wir ermöglichen Ihnen sich mit Mixed Reality im Streaming Format auseinanderzusetzen und zu experimentieren um Räume ohne endliche Grenzen aber mit unendlichen Möglichkeiten zu formen. Die Teilnehmenden haben sich auf unseren Open Call gemeldet und um ein Höchstmaß an Diversität bei den Contributions zu erzielen selektierten wir nach eingereichten Konzepten. Mit den Contributions verschiedenster Artists* aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen geht das Megaworld.xyz Festival nun in die 3te Runde.

MEGAWORLD.XYZ ist eine in Wien ansässige Online-Fantasiewelt, in der jeder Inhalte teilen kann. Im Geiste alter Web 2.0 Message Boards und Foren vereint die Plattform ein Web-Radio, Chatrooms, einen Marktplatz zum Tauschen und Verkaufen, Spiele, Anleitungen, aktuelle Themen und vieles mehr. Der Verein bietet digitale Räume für Künstlerinnen* mit einem anarchischen, gemeinnützigen und alles-geht-Ansatz, der sich auf die gemeinschaftsgetriebene Do-it-yourself-Kultur konzentriert und sich für eine offene Struktur entscheidet, die von den Menschen, die dazu beitragen, gestaltet wird

Bei den öffentlichen Veranstaltungen in der FLUCC Wanne und der Marina am 5. und 6. Oktober ab 18 Uhr werden die Kreationen und Performances live entstehen, gestreamt und aufgenommen.

PIA MARIA BAUER / OBFRAU UND GRÜNDUNGSMITGLIED VEREIN MEGAWORLD
(geb. 25.05.1994, in Wien) ist als freischaffende Künstlerin in Wien tätig, ihr Interessensfeld liegt in der Produktion, Präsentation und Kommunikation innovativer Raumkonzepte, im Realen sowie in der digitalen Welt.

PHILIP AINEDTER / GRÜNDUNGSMITGLIED VEREIN MEGAWORLD
(geb. 21.01.1995, in Wien) ist ein freischaffender Künstler aus Wien, ausgebildet und erfahren im Bereich Modedesign liegt sein Hauptaugenmerk in der Re-Produktion gesellschaftlicher Auswüchse aller Art.

Im Rahmen des Festivals finden im Studio von Megaworld.xyz eine Woche lang täglich Workshops statt, um mit den Teilnehmern digitale Inhalte in 360° zu entwickeln oder ihnen Tools vorzustellen, mit denen sie diese selbständig erstellen können.

Neben dem ersten Kennenlernen geht es bei diesen Workshops auch um die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Besuchern und den Austausch von Fähigkeiten und Wissen. Eine kleine Struktur dessen, was bei der öffentlichen Veranstaltung in FLUCC zu sehen sein wird, ist als eine Art Demo-Version gedacht, um Konzepte und Ideen zu veranschaulichen und Raum zum Experimentieren zu bieten.

Am Mittwoch, den 4. Oktober, werden diese Workshops im FLUCC fortgesetzt und beendet. Die Besucher können ihre Konzepte erneut ausprobieren und daran arbeiten. Diesmal mit den letzten Räumen und Einstellungen, um für die Live-Streaming-Events vorbereitet zu sein.

Das MEGAWORLD.XYZ Festival erfreut sich einer Vielzahl von Beiträgen unterschiedlicher Ausrichtung. Einige Beispiele: Ein Weihnachtsbaum wird aus demontierten Plastikpflanzen gebastelt, eine Punkband spielt, vergessene Gegenstände werden mit Hilfe von Wort und Ton heraufbeschworen. Außerdem gibt es interaktive Klangperformances mit Licht- und Körperschallwandlern, vergessene österreichische Subkulturen werden wiederbelebt und verschiedene Stile elektronischer und elektroakustischer Musik machen Lust zum Tanzen oder einfach nur zum Zuhören und Zuschauen. Bei jeder der Performances, Vorträge, Konzerte oder DJ-Sets ist die visuelle Ebene untrennbar mit dem Sound verbunden. So werden die Visuals, die live in den 360-Raum projiziert werden, von den Künstlern selbst oder in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Künstlern entwickelt. Neben den in Wien ansässigen und den zum Festival anreisenden internationalen Künstlern wird es auch einige Beiträge geben, die live online an das Publikum übertragen werden.

The annual MEGAWORLD.XYZ FESTIVAL, a virtual reality festival broadcast via YouTube, has now evolved into a hybrid event that combines visual art, music and performance, bringing together the online and offline communities. Together with introductory workshops in the Megaworld Homebase, 2 public evenings at Flucc make up this year's festival.

As a hybrid music & art festival, Megaworld.xyz offers a platform for over 35 artists* this year. MEGAWORLD.XYZ is a Vienna-based online fantasy world where everyone can share content. In the spirit of old Web 2.0 message boards and forums, the platform combines web radio, chat rooms, a marketplace for swapping and selling, games, instructions, current topics and much more. The association offers digital spaces for women artists* with an anarchic, non-profit and anything-goes approach, focusing on community-driven do-it-yourself culture and opting for an open structure, supported by the people who contribute to it. is designed.

At the public events in the Flucc Wanne and the Marina on October 5th and 6th from 6 p.m., the creations and performances will be created, streamed and recorded live.

A small structure of what will be present at the public event in Flucc is intended as a kind of demo version to illustrate concepts and ideas and provide space for experimentation.

On Wednesday October 4th these workshops will continue in Flucc and come to an end. Visitors can test out their concepts again and work on them with us. This time with the final rooms and settings to be prepared for the live streaming events.

The MEGAWORLD.XYZ Festival enjoys a variety of contributions of different orientations. Some examples: A Christmas tree is made from dismantled plastic plants, a punk band plays, and forgotten objects are conjured up with the help of words and sound. There are also interactive sound performances with light and structure-borne sound transducers, forgotten Austrian subcultures are revived and various styles of electronic and electro-acoustic music make you want to dance or just listen and watch. In each of the performances, lectures, concerts or DJ sets, the visual level is inseparable from the sound. Thus, the visuals projected live in the 360 ​​space are developed by the artists themselves or in collaboration with other artists. In addition to the artists based in Vienna and the international artists traveling to the festival, there will also be some contributions that will be broadcast live online to the audience.
