Right in Bloom: Belarus
A short documentary featuring a group of niche Belarusian activists trying to write an alternative green constitution for Belarus. Action happens on the border between Poland and Belarus, and the activists are addressing nature rights through different transdisciplinary ideas, such as dance, theatre, legal science, spirituality, etc. It is a documentation of intangible pro-democracy activist efforts.
I Remember His Look by Sigita Vegytė is a poignant audio-documentary exploring the intersection of two lives: soldier and a migrant, at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border during the 2021 migration crisis. Through intimate storytelling, the documentary delves into the personal experiences of those caught in the turmoil, highlighting themes of humanity, conflict and resilience. This award-winning piece, which received the Gold Award at the Third Coast International Audio Festival, will be showcased as part of the LT.art Vienna festival. The festival promotes Lithuanian art in Austria through a series of interdisciplinary events.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the creators, providing an opportunity for deeper engagement and discussion.
